Responsibilities:
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret and follow engineering drawings and blueprints to understand welding requirements.
- Material Preparation: Select and prepare the appropriate materials for welding, ensuring cleanliness and proper fit.
- Welding Operations: Perform welding operations using various techniques, such as MIG, TIG, stick welding, and arc welding, to join metal components precisely.
- Equipment Setup: Set up and adjust welding equipment, including selecting the correct welding gas and wire for MIG welding or tungsten for TIG welding.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure it operates efficiently.
